Darpan News Desk IANS, 11 Nov, 2015 12:37 PM
Bollywood's 'desi girl' Priyanka Chopra, who made her international TV debut with “Quantico” this year, says she credits American actress Ellen Pompeo for making her fall in love with the world of small screen.

Priyanka, who is celebrating Diwali at foreign shores in Canada, took to Twitter to wish her idol a “happy birthday” and to make a confession. Pompeo, who is known for her role in popular series “Grey's Anatomy”, turned 46 on Tuesday.

“Happy birthday to the real reason I fell in love with TV...@EllenPompeo have a wonderful year and keep smiling...It's infectious,” Priyanka tweeted.

And Pompeo sent out a virtual kiss to Priyanka. She shared: “@priyankachopra sending you a giant kiss for those words”.

Meanwhile, Priyanka is nostalgic about home as she is spending Diwali in a foreign country, but she is still trying to bring in the traditional fervour of the festival of lights to her home in Canada.

The “Gunday” actress posted: “Diwali presents...Trying to make people feel the love we feel back home..Happy Diwali everyone. Thank you”.
