Priyanka Chopra Furious Over Church’s Refusal To Bury Her Grandmother

Darpan News Desk IANS, 10 Jun, 2016 01:01 PM
  • Priyanka Chopra Furious Over Church’s Refusal To Bury Her Grandmother
Priyanka Chopra’s granny’s last wish remained unfulfilled as the Church, where she was baptised, did not allow her burial and the actress terms it to be “awful.”

“The act of church was awful. But we should not concentrate on it. Rather we should look that we lost a family member,” said Priyanka Chopra, speaking to press in Patna.

The authorities at the Kumarakom Parish in Kerala refused to let the burial of Mary John Akhouri take place as she was married to a Hindu.
Hence the 33-year-old actress’ grandmother had to be buried in an unkept graveyard in Kerala on Sunday.
