President Trump Will Have No Negative Effect On Indian Artistes In Hollywood: Nimrat Kaur

Darpan News Desk IANS, 03 Feb, 2017 11:27 AM
  • President Trump Will Have No Negative Effect On Indian Artistes In Hollywood: Nimrat Kaur
Nimrat Kaur, who has worked in TV shows like "Homeland" and "Wayward Pines" in the US, says under Donald Trump's presidency, the country has big issues to worry about.

Indian actors like Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, Irrfan Khan and Nimrat have been working in US showbiz of late.

Asked by IANS whether there's anything they all should worry about with Trump taking over from Barack Obama as the President, Nimrat said here: "Firstly, former US President Obama was something else. Trump has nothing to do with actors getting employed here and there."

"I don't think that is a concern. I think there are bigger issues one needs to worry with his presidency."

Just last month, Nimrat had shared her long-time fascination with Obama, via Twitter.

"Found these cuttings from 8 years ago in my folder... POTUS (Obama) you have truly been a living example of impossible is nothing. Obama Forever," she had posted on January 20 with an image of news clippings which she has kept safe.

Nimrat walked for fashion label SVA at the Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2017 on Friday.
