Prem Chopra Wants To Portray Himself In His Biopic

Darpan News Desk IANS, 08 Apr, 2016 12:42 PM
  • Prem Chopra Wants To Portray Himself In His Biopic
Prem Chopra, who is remembered for his villainous roles in Bollywood, wants to portray himself in his biopic.

"Who can portray Prem Chopra better than me!" the veteran actor replied with a smile to a query as to which star he wants to portray him onscreen.

"But jokes apart, anyone can do the role if a film is made," he added.

He was interacting with media at autism awareness event organised on the occasion of World Health Day.

With a career spanning for over 50 years, Prem's filmography includes many prominent films like "Do Raaste", "Purab aur Paschim", "Teesri Manzil", "Bobby" and many more.

His autobiography "Prem Naam Hai Mera. Prem Chopra", which takes its title from his trademark dialogue from "Bobby", was penned in association with his daughter Rakita Nanda.

The 80-year-old actor, who terrified the audience with his on-screen portrayals, said: "The book has been completed. So may be the film will be made as well."

After a number of negative roles in movies, the veteran actor began taking up positive characters in his recent projects. He has featured in movies like "Love U...Mr. Kalakaar!", "Golmaal 3", "Patiala House", and "Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year".

He will be seen in the upcoming film "Udaanchoo", which is helmed by Vipin Parashar and stars Rajneesh Duggal and Sayesha Saigal in the lead roles.
