Pratyusha Banerjee Suicide Case: Hema Malini Says ‘Senseless Suicides’ Achieve Nothing

Darpan News Desk IANS, 05 Apr, 2016 01:23 PM
  • Pratyusha Banerjee Suicide Case: Hema Malini Says ‘Senseless Suicides’ Achieve Nothing
Hinting at TV actress Pratyusha Banerjee's death, actress-cum-BJP MP Hema Malini said ending one's life is not a solution to any problem as “the world admires a fighter, not a loser”.

Hema Malini tweeted: “All these senseless suicides achieve nothing! Life is god's gift for us to live, not for us to take at will. We have no right to do that.

"One must learn to overcome all odds and emerge successful, not succumb under pressure and give up easily. The world admires a fighter not a loser.”

Pratyusha, who found fame through her portrayal of the grown-up Anandi in popular TV show "Balika Vadhu", was found hanging from a ceiling fan at her home in Goregaon here on Friday evening.

Hema Malini attacked the media for its coverage of the death.
