Deepika Padukone is currently awaiting the day her magnum opus Padmavati would open in theatres. The actress, who recently completed a decade in the film industry was spotted at the divine Tirumala Tirupati temple along with filmmaker Farah Khan.

Several fan clubs have shared pictures of the actress on Twitter and Instagram. The actress was seen in the company of her filmmaker friend while the paps click them. The actress took Lord Venkateswara's divine blessings. The temple is a landmark divine destination situated on the hill town of Tirumala at Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh.

Deepika and Farah can be seen in the pictures along with filmmaker Dinesh Vijan. On the professional front, Dippy's upcoming release 'Padmavati' has found itself in the tight spot where fringe groups are demanding to stall the film's release.

The activists claim that the makers have distorted historical facts in the film and that's why they are demanding a ban on Padmavati. However, the Supreme Court recently dismissed a petition seeking a ban on the release of the film.

The petition was filed by a group of persons seeking a stay on the release of the movie which they claim is hurting sentiments of the Rajput community. However, the apex court said that the Censor Board has not yet issued certificate to Padmavati. "It is an independent body and therefore SC should not intervene in their jurisdiction," it said.

Padmavati is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and stars Deepika, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor in the lead. It is slated to hit the screens on December 1, 2017.
