Darpan News Desk IANS, 18 Aug, 2017 01:16 PM

On Wednesday, actress Riya Sen secretly tied the knot with her long time boyfriend Shivam Tewari in Pune. Present in attendance were only close friends and family.

According to a report on Pinkvilla, the actress’ pregnancy was the reason behind keeping the marriage a hush-hush one.

Here are the pictures from her wedding:

However, it was a few days ago, since the 36-year-old’s inclination towards marriage was reported by Times of India.

In January, Riya’s mother Moon Moon Sen told the publication that her daughters were ‘high-maintenance’ girls and for them looks were important.

"Elder daughter Raima likes tall and witty guys, while good looks matter the most to Riya. Money is not important for them as they don't realize its value. But both my girls are high-maintenance, so they need to find boys who are rich, if nothing else,” said the 63-year old actress.

Talking about Riya’s boyfriend-turned-husband, nothing much is known about him, apart from the fact that he loves photography.

The actress has dated actors like John Abraham and Ashmit Patel in the past.

Riya Sen belongs to a family blessed with talent. Her grandmother Suchitra Sen was a Bengali screen legend. It was in 1991, when Riya first appeared as a child artist in the film ‘Vishkanya.’

Riya’s work in Bollywood includes films like ‘Style,’ ‘Jhankaar Beats’ and ‘Apna Sapna Money Money.’

She has done notable Bengali films like ‘Noukadubi’ and ‘Jaatishwar,’ which were well received by the audience.

Last seen in the short film ‘Lonely Girl - A Psychological Thriller,’ Riya is currently busy filming Ekta Kapoor's web-series, which is produced by her ALTBalaji wing.
