Others' Opinions Don't Matter To Me: Kangana Ranaut

IANS, 01 Jun, 2015 11:02 AM
Talented and outspoken actress Kangana Ranaut, who is riding high on the success of her latest film "Tanu Weds Manu Returns", says people's opinion about her doesn't make a difference to her.

Asked if people's outlook towards her has changed ever since she charmed the audiences and critics with "Queen" and now "Tanu Weds Manu Returns", she said: "Other people's opinions do not matter to me...if they did matter, I wouldn't have lasted till now."

"If I would have got affected, I would be full of irrational doubts. I do have a strong sense of what can be achieved and what cannot."

However, she minced no words when she said that "people's perception towards me is a revelation after 'Queen'".

"People felt I was talented. I was surprised because I thought everyone knew from before that I was talented... with films like 'Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai', 'Woh Lamhe', 'Life in a... Metro', 'Tanu Weds Manu', 'Queen'... I kept proving myself."

"I thought there was no doubt about my acting abilities. So, the reaction after 'Queen' was a revelation to me," she added.

Kangana, who had earlier bagged a National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress for "Fashion", says she wasn't expecting the Best Actress National Award for "Queen".
