Open For More TV Shows: Govinda

Darpan News Desk IANS, 17 Mar, 2015 01:51 PM
  • Open For More TV Shows: Govinda
Govinda, who is known for his dance moves, is making his TV comeback as a judge with “DID Super Moms”. The star comedian says he is open to more TV shows if he gets something good to give to the audience.

“I'm game for everything which is correct and good. But yes, the show should make me feel that I have something to give to the audience. Then only will I be able to say 'yes' to TV shows,” the actor, who was in the capital during the launch of the dance reality show, told IANS.

Govinda's last appearance on TV was as a host on “Jeeto Chappar Phaad Ke” in 2001.

On "DID Super Moms", Govinda will judge the Zee TV show along with choreographers Geeta Kapur and Terence Lewis.

Asked about the reason of giving a nod to “DID Super Moms”, the actor says his mother was the reason.

“Mother has always been special to me. My mother is very responsible for whatever success I have achieved today, and I'm sure many people will accept that too. A mother is one of the most beautiful creatures made by god. I think this was one of the reasons why I said 'yes' to this show,” he said.

Geeta is equally excited about working with Govinda after a long time.

“Govinda sir is the reason why I'm in this field and it's an honour to work with him through this show. I remember that after watching his dance moves, I was dying to work with him and I got this opportunity during an award function but that was a brief encounter. Today I can say that god always has better plans,” she told IANS.

Starting on March 28, the new season has plenty of things to delight dance enthusiasts. Essel Vision Productions Ltd, creative and production studio of Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd (ZEEL) are the producers of the show, to be hosted by TV actor Karan Wahi.

“Having given 'umeed' (hope to scores of mothers across the country with the immensely successful first season of 'DID Super Moms' - a hope that there is more to life than the daily rigmarole of household responsibilities and that they too can pursue their own dreams and hidden talents, we are back with the second season of 'DID Super Moms',” said Pradeep Hejmadi, business head of Zee TV.

The new season will be a 11-week series starting with the auditions of the show, moving into week-on-week eliminations with the top 15 contestants from across the country.
