On World Bicycle Day, Sapna Thakur peddles down memory lane

Mumbai, June 3 (IANS) Actress Sapna Thakur says cycling always takes her down the memory lane, to the time when she got her first pair of wheels. The actress opened up on the subject on Thursday, on the occasion of World Bicycle Day.
"When it comes to cycling, all I can recall are priceless memories of my childhood. I remember I was in the sixth grade when my mother gifted me my first cycle on my birthday, it was a red Hero Jet. Six friends and I would ride our cycles to school every morning. This is one of the fondest memories I have of that time," she said.
"Even after so many years, I still have the cycle at my house in Chandigarh and whenever I get a chance, I would love to go cycling around the city. I really miss those days, especially my girl gang who I was extremely close to," added Sapna, who plays Samaira in the Zee TV show "Kyun Rishton Mein Katti Batti".
Singer-composer Himesh Reshammiya has replaced composer Anu Malik as judge on "Indian Idol 11" after the latter withdrew his name from the show in the face of MeToo allegations against him.
The 2016 Aamir Khan-starrer "Dangal" which crossed the Rs 2,000-crore mark at the global box-office is the biggest blockbuster of the decade, according to a Yahoo India report.
It was a nostalgic Tuesday for veteran actor Anupam Kher as he shared a 31-year-old throwback picture from the set of Yash Chopra's "Vijay", which released in 1988.
