No One Could Change Me To Prem Better Than Sooraj: Salman

Darpan News Desk IANS, 02 Oct, 2015 12:21 PM
  • No One Could Change Me To Prem Better Than Sooraj: Salman
Superstar Salman Khan, who is mostly remembered as his own self rather than his onscreen persona, is returning in his most-loved character "Prem" in Sooraj Barjatiya's "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" and credits the director for the change.

"When you will watch me as Prem on the screen, you would definitely think me as Prem, not as Salman. No one could change Salman to Prem better than Sooraj... what he did with my character is amazing," Salman said at the grand trailer launch of the film here on Thursday.

As per Salman, Barjatiya is the one of the best directors and human being. "There is no better director or human being than Sooraj. We didn't do everything together but the love and fondness I have for Sooraj, I never have had for any other director," he admitted.

Salman has a new muse, Sonam Kapoor, which marks their first onscreen presence. "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo", which is eagerly awaited, represent Salman and Barjatya's reunion after 16 years.

On Barjatya's indepth knowledge of family drama, he said: "Everybody recommends me with whom I should work or not. But I am extremely happy to work with Sooraj. I believe after watching the movie, this film will leave an impact of becoming a better person in life. Sooraj is the best person to understand the culture of Indian family as he grown up in a big family."

The trailer signifies the importance of a family, with Salman saying: "Har family main problem hoti hai, lekin woh khushnaseeb hain, jinki family hoti hai".

Along with Salman and Sonam, there are glimpses of Anupam Kher, Swara Bhaskar, Deepak Dobriyal along with Neil Nitin Mukesh who plays a baddie in the film.

The film is slated to hit theatre on November 12, a day after Diwali.

Music of 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo' to be out on October 10

The music album of "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" -- which brings together Bollywood's once indomitable team of Salman Khan and Sooraj Barjatya after 16 years -- will be unveiled on October 10, says T-Series head Bhushan Kumar.

"The full music album of 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo' will be unveiled on October 10," said Bhushan, chairman and managing director of T-series, at the trailer launch of the film here on Thursday.

"This is my first time that Sooraj ji has given me an opportunity to market the music of their film. Their music is always good and with Salman, there is no need of marketing the music. But Songs of the film are very good, melodious and in sync with the film. So I am all excited," he added.

When asked about the strategy of marketing the film's music, he said: "Each song from 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo' will be unveiled one by one in the coming weeks prior to Diwali when the film releases".

A family drama, PRDP also stars Sonam Kapoor, Anupam Kher and Neil Nitin Mukesh.

Directed by Sooraj Barjatya, the much anticipated film will release on November 12, a day after the festival of Diwali.

Presented by Fox Star Studios, "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" is produced by Rajshri Productions.
