No competition between me and Amaal: Armaan Malik

Darpan News Desk IANS, 25 Mar, 2016 01:30 PM
Known for crooning a string of hits like "Main hoon hero tera" and "Wajah tum ho", singer Armaan Malik says there is no competition between him and his music composer brother Amaal Malik, who has composed songs like "Zindagi aa raha hun main".

The brother duo come from a family of musicians. Armaan and Amaal are the sons of singer and music director Daboo Malik and nephews of famous music director Anu Malik.

Asked if their is any professional competition between the two, Armaan told IANS: "No. There is no competition...I think he is in a different zone in the music industry...Amaal is a music composer and I am singer, so I think we compliment each other rather than competing with each other. We work together..."

The 20-year-old singer, whose first single "Krazy Konnection" featuring music composer and singer Salim Merchant released in 2014, shared that the way the two brothers work is "very healthy".

"He (Amaal) works with other singers and I too work with other composers. So I think the way we work is very healthy," the singer added.

The "Tumhe apna banane ki" hitmaker said that as siblings the two are very close to each other.

"As brothers we are very close as well...So I don't think there is any competition between us," he said.
