Gulshan Grover,, who will be honoured with an award at the New York City International Film Festival May 29 for his work across continents, is excited that others are happy with his achievement.
 
"I was very touched to see that people were wishing me and they were very excited about the award that I am due to get on May 29 at the New York film festival," the 58-year-old said here.
 
"I was happy to see that everyone gets happy when someone makes the country proud on an international platform," he said on the sidelines of a diamond store launch Wednesday.
 
Gulshan further said: "It's a great thing because Indian associations abroad are always honouring Indian stars. But this time Hollywood is honouring an Indian with one of it's awards, which is a great thing."
 
Gulshan was among the initial actors from Bollywood to make a transition to Hollywood. He featured in director Salim Khassa's "Desperate Endeavors".
 
In Bollywood, he was recently seen in "Yaariyan".
