Nawazuddin Siddiqui to give IIFA a miss

Darpan News Desk IANS, 24 Jun, 2016 01:29 PM
Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui says that he is unable to participate in the International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) currently underway in Spain as he is busy with his work commitments.

"I won't be able to go for IIFA due to my shooting schedule. I'll be going to Lucknow tomorrow," Nawazuddin said on Thursday at the screening of his upcoming film "Raman Raghav 2.0".

Many stars from the Indian film industry have already arrived for the IIFA, which is being held from June 23-26 in Madrid, Spain.

This year IIFA will feature events like IIFA Rocks, a music event, and IIFA stomp, an exhibition of urban trends.

Nawazuddin has received nomination for two award categories -- best performance in a supporting role for "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" and best performance in a negative role for "Badlapur".

About his film "Raman Raghav 2.0", Nawazuddin said, "If people come for the film, they will enjoy it. I am very excited."

The film, directed by Anurag Kashyap, stars Vicky Kaushal and Sobhita Dhulipala. It will release in theatres on Friday.
