Naughty, Tongue-in-cheek Steps Suit Salman Well: Farah Khan

Darpan News Desk IANS, 04 Jun, 2016 02:31 PM
  • Naughty, Tongue-in-cheek Steps Suit Salman Well: Farah Khan
Farah Khan has created another peppy dance number in “Baby ko Bass Pasand Hai” from “Sultan” and the director-choreographer says she likes working with Salman Khan as he carries off naughty steps well.

Farah, who has worked with Salman a number of times be it “Munni badnaam” or “Fevicol Se”, says she always tries to give him a signature step. “I have worked with Salman for quite sometime now. I always give him a signature move that I know will become popular and only Salman can do it.

“He can carry off naughty, slightly tongue-in-cheek steps really well. He is a joy to work with as there is a lot of ‘masti’ on the sets and good food from his home,” Farah told in an interview.

The “Happy New Year” director said producer Aditya Chopra called her to choreograph the number that takes place during a wedding. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, the movie has Salman and Anushka Sharma playing Wrestlers from Haryana.

“Sultan” is releasing on July 6 and is produced by Yash Raj Films. The ace choreographer says she was initially not supposed to do the number but she could not say no when Aditya called her. “I was not supposed to be doing the song. Adi asked me whether I could come and do it this.

I was working with Abbas for the first time. It was good that we got along so well.” Farah says she has no particular preference when it comes to choreographing songs but enjoys challenges. “This was fun with Salman and Anushka… It is a marriage song.

Situation was not that unusual but then it makes it more difficult because you have to recreate something unusual. “We had five days but we finished in four… Salman learns quickly and the director was clear about what he wanted. It was fun.”
