  • My Son Exposes Me To Music That Works Today: Shankar Mahadevan
Singer-composer Shankar Mahadevan says his son Siddharth exposes him to music that clicks with the new age listeners in the country.

"I draw inspiration from my son Siddharth because he exposes me to music that works today and he plays it to me. The youth inspires you... They keep you young. It's also your duty to educate them with some facts of your country," Shankar told IANS.

Siddharth has sung songs like "Malang" and "Nachne de saare".

Shankar, who is part of the popular Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy trio, says it's a blessing to see his son doing well.

"This is the greatest blessing that any father can get -- I am able to sing his songs on stage. I am so happy to see him doing so well. There can't be a bigger blessing than this," he said.
