My Best Film Is Yet To Come: Shahid Kapoor

Darpan News Desk, 24 Oct, 2016 12:02 PM
  • My Best Film Is Yet To Come: Shahid Kapoor
Actor Shahid Kapoor, who earned critical acclaim for his performances in films like "Kaminey", "Haider" and "Udta Punjab", says his best is yet to come.

"My best film is still impending. I only concentrate on my next upcoming films," Shahid said on the sidelines of the ongoing Jio MAMI 18th Mumbai Film Festival with Star here.

After giving a powerful performance in "Udta Punjab" -- which talked about rampant drug abuse, Shahid will soon be seen in Vishal Bhardwaj's "Rangoon", a romantic drama set during World War II, co-starring Saif Ali Khan and Kangana Ranaut.

Earlier, Shahid did "Kaminey" and "Haider" with Bhardwaj. The actor hopes people appreciate their third outing together as well.

"I haven't seen it yet. I am very much curious about the film. I just met Vishal sir and asked him to show me the film. I am very nervous about the film because this is the third time I am working with Vishal sir.

"Thankfully, the audience appreciated the films and this time too I don't want to fall short of expectations," he said.

Shahid will also soon start shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming magnum opus "Padmavati", which also features Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone.
