Mira Is The Kind Of Girl I Wanted For Shahid: Neelima Azeem

IANS, 13 Jul, 2015 12:07 PM
Shahid Kapoor's mother Neelima Azeem is happy to get a daughter-in-law like Mira Rajput as she says she's the kind of girl she always wanted for her son.

Shahid and Mira's reception here on Sunday night was a grand and starry affair. Held at the Palladium Hotel, it saw the presence of stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Kangana Ranaut, Arjun Kapoor and more.

Neelima, the estranged wife of Shahid's father and veteran actor Pankaj Kapur, was visibly happy for their son.

"I am incredibly happy as Shahid has found such a dignified and beautiful girl with a wonderful heart. She comes form a wonderful family and they are extremely lovely people. This is the kind of girl I wanted for Shahid. So, I am extremely happy and I have got the daughter that I always wanted," Neelima told reporters here.

Delhi girl Mira, 21, is a graduate from the city's Lady Shri Ram College. The duo met out of their families' belief in the Radha Soami sect, a philosophical organisation based on the spiritual teachings of all religions.
