Darpan News Desk IANS, 12 Apr, 2016 11:19 AM
Long locks, a stubble, chiselled abs and tattoos -- that's the look Shahid Kapoor is seen donning in the character poster of "Udta Punjab", a neo-noir drama thriller directed by Abhishek Chaubey.

Shahid's character in the film is Tommy Singh, a Punjabi rockstar.

In the character poster shared on YouTube, the "Shaandaar" actor also throws the rock horns, a common gesture used by musicians and fans during concerts.

"Milna Hain Tommy Singh se? (Want to meet Tommy Singh?)", Shahid tweeted along with the poster.

The film also stars Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Diljit Dosanjh.

Produced by Phantom Films and Balaji Motion Pictures, the movie tells the story of substance abuse in the Indian state of Punjab.

The film is slated to release on June 17.
