Manoj Bajpayee To Turn Traffic Cop For A Day

IANS, 03 May, 2016 11:46 AM
Actor Manoj Bajpayee will be living the life of a traffic cop for a day and he says he wants to "salute the spirit of these unsung heroes".

Manoj will be standing at a busy traffic signal in Lokhandwala and manning the traffic at the key junction on Wednesday.

"I want to salute the spirit of these unsung heroes, my efforts can't meet their efforts, but it's a small attempt to make their effort count," Manoj said in a statement.

The actor worked hard to get into the skin of the character. He paid special attention to understanding how traffic cops communicate and closely observed their body language as well.

In Manoj's upcoming next "Traffic", he will be seen playing a traffic constable who spearheads a situation where a heart has to be delivered to a patient in another location, amidst the heavy traffic.

"Traffic" is an emotional thriller based on a road trip from Mumbai to Pune which is based on a true story. The film revolves around transportation of a heart for a transplant case, chasing a strict deadline. During the mission they face numerous difficulties with traffic being one of them.

The film also features actors Jimmy Shergill, Divya Dutta and Sachin Khedekar.

It is directed by the late Rajesh Pillai, produced by Deepak Dhar of Endemol India and presented by Foxstar studios.
