IANS, 30 Aug, 2017 12:56 PM
The makers of 'Lucknow Central', which is set against the backdrop of a jail, are keen on showing it to Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt.

On the occasion of Independence Day, the team of 'Lucknow Central' had performed live at Yerwada jail in Pune amid all prisoners.

While researching on the film, the makers came across various prisoners, who have hidden talents in them. Some of them were good singers, craftsmen, dancers and used to showcase their talents to fellow prisoners.

Sanjay Dutt too had performed several times during his Yerwada days and also went on showing his creative side by writing screenplays and even performed live in the jail.

Now that the film is gearing up for its release, the makers are eager to show the film to Sanjay Dutt.

'Lucknow Central' exhibits the tale of a simple ambitious man caught in a tragedy that changes his life forever. The film thrives on ambition, passion, friendship, and determination.

Kishen Mohan Girhotra, played by Farhan Akhtar, is an aspiring singer, who idolizes Manoj Tiwari in the small town of Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh. Kishen's world turns upside down when he is falsely accused of a murder and is sent to Lucknow Central jail.

'Lucknow Central' has ensemble star cast like Diana Penty, Deepak Dobriyal, Ronit Roy, Gippy Grewal, Rajesh Sharma, Inaamulhaq, Uday Tikekar, Sukh Kunwar to name a few.

Produced by Viacom18 Motion Pictures and Emmay Entertainment and Motion Pictures, the film is directed by Ranjit Tiwari and is slated to release on September 15.
