Madhuri Finds Dancing Spiritual Experience

Darpan News Desk IANS, 10 Dec, 2015 10:54 AM
  • Madhuri Finds Dancing Spiritual Experience
Actress Madhuri Dixit says that dancing, along with being a passion, gives her a spiritual experience and immense pleasure and happiness.

"Dance has always been a passion for me; acting is my first love but dance is my passion. And I've been learning since I was three years old. Dance gives me a spiritual kind of an experience. It gives me lot of happiness and pleasure," she said at an event to announce collaboration of her successful online dance academy "Dance With Madhuri" with Tata Sky.

The platform is available in numerous countries across the world with well-known dance gurus guiding the dance students. Madhuri had also created a mobile app for the platform a few months ago. These recent initiatives intend to widen the reach of the platform.

About the thought behind "Dance With Madhuri", she said: "I was intending to share this experience, pleasure and happiness with numerous people; I wanted that dance reaches every household and that every person can learn dance at some level. This idea of 'how can we achieve this goal? came to my mind. And that's how 'Dance with Madhuri' was born."

Noted dancers such as Saroj Khan, Remo D'Souza, and Pandit Birju Maharaj are some of the gurus who've come on the online portal. Madhuri's husband, Sriram Nene is involved with the business aspects of the brand.

"Nowadays traffic is a nightmare wherever we go, so they can learn at home. You can learn from the best of gurus who are experts at their dance styles, at your own convenience.

"It's important for housewives, who devote their entire time to family and who don't get the time for themselves, and this will be good for them as they can learn dance without going anywhere. This gives me great happiness that they can learn any form of dancing that they want and that they'll be their own masters," said Madhuri, who is known as one of the best dancers in the industry for her proficiency with modern as well as traditional dance forms.
