Madhavan overwhelmed with response to 'Irudhi Suttru' in Tokyo

    Actor R Madhavan is overwhelmed with all the love and appreciation that has come his way for his Tamil film "Irudhi Suttru" at the 29th Tokyo International Film Festival.
     
    The Sudha Kongara directorial "Irudhi Suttru" was screened in the World Focus Section of the fest on October 31 and November 1 and 2. The festival was held from October 25 - November 3.
     
    "I'm really overwhelmed and touched with all the love and affection that the people of Japan have showered upon me and my film 'Irudhi Suttru'. I had never anticipated this," Madhavan said in a statement.
     
    In "Irudhi Suttru", Madhavan played a washed-up boxing coach who finds a champion in a fish-seller.
     
    The film had simultaneously released in Hindi as "Saala Khadoos".
     
    Sudha is currently busy shooting for "Guru", the Telugu remake of "Irudhi Suttru", with Venkatesh in the lead.
