Darpan News Desk IANS, 11 May, 2016 12:28 PM
Internationally acclaimed Indian actor Irrfan Khan has ventured into production with his upcoming film "Madaari".

The "Piku" star wanted to be more involved in the film than just as an actor and he said that the strong story line led him to try and do much more for the film.

"A strong two line idea drew me towards the subject that I wanted the film to be made. This led me from it only being a part of the film as an actor but also try and do much more as producer," Irrfan said in a statement.

Directed by Nishikant Kamath "Madaari" is inspired by true life events. Irrfan will also be seen playing the lead protagonist in the film.

"Madaari" at it's heart is a father and son story, and delivers a very heart touching and sensitive concept.

The movie is all set to release on June 10.
