Kriti Sanon's Favourite Cricketers Sachin, Dhoni, Virat

Darpan News Desk IANS, 11 Jan, 2016 12:56 PM
Actress Kriti Sanon says that she follows cricket only during the World Cup and Sachin Tendulkar, Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Virat Kohli are her favourite cricketers.

Asked about her favourite cricketers at an event for the Celebrity Cricket League, Kriti was initially confused whether to name her colleagues from the industry participating in the league or actual cricketers. "Among Indian cricketers, of course Sachin Tendulkar, and M.S. Dhoni and Virat," she said.

Kriti was initially going to be a part of the biopic on Dhoni starring Sushant Singh Rajput but was later replaced by Kiara Advani. But she has been signed on to act opposite Sushant in another film directed by Dinesh Vijan.

And Virat is her contemporary Anushka Sharma's boyfriend. About the spotlight that an actress- cricketer affair has attracted since decades, Kriti said: "From whatever profession you belong, it's the same as the bonding between any girl and boy. That's what I feel."

"I'm not much involved in sports and I don't play either. But I've really liked whatever games I've gone and watched and I've really enjoyed that. I watch it (cricket) considerably during World Cup and follow it, but otherwise I can't manage much of time. But I think it's a game that everyone enjoys and especially if you're watching it live, it's more fun," she added.

Kriti will be the brand ambassador of the Mumbai Heroes franchise in the league which features the likes of Sohail Khan, Riteish Deshmukh, Bobby Deol, and Saqib Saleem among others this season.
