'Khamoshiyan' similar to 1949 film 'Mahal'

Darpan News Desk IANS, 23 Dec, 2014 12:35 PM
TV actor Gurmeet Choudhary, who is set to enter Bollywood with the erotic love triangle "Khamoshiyan", says the film is quite similar to 1949 suspense thriller "Mahal".

"It is somewhat similar to the film 'Mahal'," Gurmeet said here Monday at FHM Bachelor of the Year Awards.

Directed by Kamal Amrohi, "Mahal" featuring Ashok Kumar and Madhubala in the lead roles became one of the box office hits of 1949.

Gurmeet didn't divulge much details but said: "It is a mix of many elements. But the film is very interesting where you will get a lot of stuff worth watching. It has beautiful songs, drama, suspense, everything...".

"Khamoshiyan" also features Ali Fazal and Sapna Pabbi. It is slated to release Jan 30.
