It Is Not Important To Follow Trends: Mandana Karimi

Darpan News Desk IANS, 30 Mar, 2016 12:25 PM
  • It Is Not Important To Follow Trends: Mandana Karimi
She shot to instant fame for her 'say-it-as-it-is' behaviour during her "Big Boss Nau" stint and then for her glamorous avatar in "Kyaa Kool Hain Hum 3". Actress Mandana Karimi says she chooses clothes according to comfort and enjoys dressing up without following any trend.

"I have my own style. Even with my stylist, I always choose what I am comfortable in. If I am not comfortable in a dress, I won't buy it. It's not important to follow trends but what is more important is to be comfortable in whatever you are wearing," Mandana told IANS here.

Being a model herself, Mandana attended the INIFD Presents Gen Next show at the opening day of Lakme Fashion Week Summer-Resort 2016, taking place at hotel St. Regis here.

Asked about her experience of being a part of the fashion industry once again, she said: "It's amazing. (However) I have never been very interested in runway shows, but I do enjoy dressing up. I do enjoy coming for fashion weeks and looking at the dresses, the new collections and what's in.

"Because of the kind of job that I do, I have to wear different clothes and go to different places."

For her appearance at the fashion gala, Mandana wore an outfit designed by Gen Next designer Agrima Batra, a 22-year-old, who is the youngest of all the five Gen Next designers who showcased their works this season.

The five-day fashion gala flagged off on Wednesday here on a high note, with some of known Bollywood celebrities attending the event. These included Mini Mathur and Ali Fazal.
