Irritation Got Ridhi Out Of 'Khatron Ke Khiladi'

Darpan News Desk IANS, 15 Mar, 2015 03:06 PM
  • Irritation Got Ridhi Out Of 'Khatron Ke Khiladi'
TV actress Ridhi Dogra says she was "irritated" with insects-based stunts due to which she was unable to tackle them and got eliminated from stunt-based reality TV show "Khatron Ke Khiladi - Darr Ka Blockbuster Returns".

She has become the fourth contestant from a line-up of 14 to get eliminated from "Khatron Ke Khiladi - Darr Ka Blockbuster Returns”.

For Ridhi, who has appeared in shows like “Savitri” and “Nach Baliye 6”, the six-week journey was "a very good experience".

"I used to believe that I'm not really fearful and scared of anything. So, I wanted to test that and I realised that I'm really not scared of anything," Ridhi told IANS over phone from Mumbai.

“My elimination stunt was with cockroaches. It was not that I got frightened, but I got irritated with them. So, it's not fear that got me eliminated.

“I didn't want them on me. I was so angry at them for walking on my body. They really made me feel annoyed,” she added.

However, Ridhi says she has learnt a lot from the show.

“One thing that I was able to overcome was my fear of height. Now, I'm not that scared of it. I've gained a lot of mental strength from the show. If we can put our mind into something, then we can definitely attain success from it,” she said.

Remembering her days on the show, which was shot in Cape Town, South Africa, she said: “We did all kinds of stunts there. For one stunt, I was in a tank full of water. That time I felt I was in the middle of a tsunami.”

Ridhi is planning to do more challenging roles in future in the fiction genre.

She added: “Right now, I've purposely not taken up a show because I'm waiting for something challenging and exciting. My previous two shows 'Maryada' and 'Savitri' have really spoiled me as an actor. My work on both these shows required me to challenge myself as an actor. I want to do fiction in future.”

Video jockey and host Archana Vijaya and actors Harshad Arora and Sidharth Bhardwaj were previously ousted from the show, hosted by filmmaker Rohit Shetty.

The line-up of celebrity contestants who are left comprise actors Ashish Chowdhry, Hussain Kuwajerwala, Iqbal Khan, Sana Khan, Sagarika Ghatge, Rashami Desai, Asha Negi, the multi-faceted Meiyang Chang, Kabaddi star Rakesh Kumar and item girl Nathalia Kaur.
