Indo-Canadian YouTube Sensation Lilly Singh Visiting India On Book Tour

Darpan News Desk IANS, 28 Mar, 2017 11:31 AM
YouTube star Lilly Singh will be visiting India in April as part of her book tour after penning her debut work in which she covers topics ranging from relationships to career choices to everyday annoyances.

Lilly will be holding the book events in Mumbai, Hyderabad and Delhi on April 19, 20 and 21 respectively

Titled "How to Be a Bawse: A Guide To Conquering Life," the book is dubbed by the publisher, Penguin Random House as a definitive guide to being a "bawse," a person who exudes confidence, hustles relentlessly, and smiles genuinely because he or she has fought through it all and made it out the other side.

"I am so thrilled to write my first book and share, all in one place what I've learned about achieving success and happiness . This journey has taught me to always pick yourself up, not allow anything to stand in your way and that the one secret to achieving your dreams is hardwork," the 29-year-old YouTube sensation said in a statement.

Told in Lilly's signature bold and funny voice, the book is a practical guide to making changes. Each chapter has an anecdote from Lilly's personal life to emphasise her point, from her most awkward handshake to her first meeting with Dwayne Johnson.

The 29-year-old Singh, who started her YouTube channel "Superwoman" in 2010, has over 11 million subscribers who tune into her stand-up comedy videos, featuring raps, imitations of her parents and inspirational speeches.
