Indian Women Have Most Beautiful Eyes:Athiya Shetty

Darpan News Desk IANS, 01 Jan, 2016 02:03 PM
Actress Athiya Shetty believes Indian women are blessed with beautiful almond-shaped eyes which get enhanced with the use of kohl.

"It's a good thing that women in India enhance their eyes because I think Indian women have the most beautiful eyes. They have almond-shaped eyes... big, brown and pretty eyes. Kohl is the first make-up product that I started using. Even in school, that was the only make-up we were allowed to use," Athiya, also a brand ambassador for Maybelline New York, told IANS.

The other eye make-up product that she swears by is the lash volumising mascara.

"When I am not shooting, I go minimalistic because I think it's important to let the skin breathe as well. So, I just use a tinted lip balm. I also like to wear mascara. I can't leave the house without a mascara. It just brightens up your eyes," said the "Hero" actress.

For hair as well, she likes to keep it simple.

"My grandmother sits me down even today on a Sunday and puts coconut oil on my hair. I have been doing this ever since I can remember. So that's my hair secret. I don't need a spa or anything," she said.

But she likes to experiment with make-up at times.

"I am new in the field so experimenting is a good thing. It's all about trial and error. I let the make-up artist take charge, but yes I do have a say. Experimenting is a great thing as I need to know what looks good on me and what doesn't. I never used to do dark lips. But now, I am experimenting a lot with different dark shades of lip colours," she said.
