Indian Trainers Should Be Promoted: Rahul Bhatt

IANS, 06 Dec, 2016 12:02 PM
  • Indian Trainers Should Be Promoted: Rahul Bhatt
Fitness trainer Rahul Bhatt, who trained superstar Aamir Khan for the film "Dangal", says there is this fixation of getting foreign trainers in India and hence he urges people to promote the Indian talent.

"There is so much of talent in our own country, so I feel Indian trainers should be promoted. There is this fixation of getting foreign trainers and unfortunately people feel they are more knowledgeable but that's not the case."

"There is sufficient talent in this county so I just request people to promote talent from our country," Rahul told IANS.

Aamir tipped the scales at 97 kg for his role as Mahavir Phogat in "Dangal" and then dropped 20 kg for the same film with the help of Rahul.

The trainer says the weight loss part for Aamir was the most difficult thing.

"I was not there on the weight gain part. I got onboard for the weight loss part and that was the most difficult one because he had gone out of shape, he had trouble walking also. That's when we had to be very careful because health could not be compromised," he said.
