In Deepika Padukone-Ranveer Singh Rumours Today, A New Wedding Destination

Darpan News Desk IANS, 27 Jul, 2018 01:37 PM
  • In Deepika Padukone-Ranveer Singh Rumours Today, A New Wedding Destination
Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone will be married in Lake Como, Italy, a new report says. The wedding will reportedly take place in November and the couple only recently finalised the location after considering several options.

Filmfare followed up on their June report, which speculated that the wedding will either be held in Italy or India, with a confirmation on Thursday.

The date has been set for November 10 at the Italian lakeside town, which rests at the foot of the Alps. “Both Ranveer and Deepika were keen on having a destination wedding in Italy and they have finalised Lake Como as their wedding destination. The place is dotted with exquisite villas along the shoreline, which is why both of them decided to wed in this beautiful place,” a source told the magazine.

Ranveer had downplayed wedding rumours in an earlier interview to India Today. “These are things I think about. I try to create a life and work balance. As much as I am consumed by my work at the moment, these things (marriage) are on my mind. But nothing decisive as of now,” he had said.

According to Filmfare’s June report, “The maximum time was taken to decide the date. Both Ranveer and Deepika want everything about their marriage to be perfect. November 10th suited their calendars as well as their parents. The roka was done long back and the wedding date was finalised just a few weeks ago.”

The families were toying with the idea of hosting the wedding in Udaipur, but that didn’t work out. Instead, there is a possibility that two ceremonies are organises, much like what Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma did.

“Preparations are in full swing from both sides. Ladies have begun the wedding shopping. Ranveer is extremely excited about the wedding and is evidently on cloud nine with both his professional and personal life being on a high,” the source continued.

While Deepika and Ranveer have never announced their relationship publicly, they have been rumoured to be dating since 2013. They’ve starred in three films together - Ram Leela, Bajirao Mastani and the recent Padmaavat - and have been very affectionate towards each other on social media. Ranveer and Deepika frequently leave comments on each others’ pictures.
