If Deepika Is A Bigger Star, She Deserves Bigger Pie Piece: Ranbir On Pay Parity

IANS, 22 Jun, 2018 01:41 PM
  • If Deepika Is A Bigger Star, She Deserves Bigger Pie Piece: Ranbir On Pay Parity
While the pay disparity gap is a hot topic in the industry, actor Ranbir Kapoor shared his thoughts on Deepika Padukone and her pay scale.

The Kapoor scion said that Deepika deserved an equal amount as him as she is equal to or even bigger star than him.

He said, "If I am on a project and there is Deepika on it, Deepika is as big or a bigger star than me so there has to be equality, or she gets the bigger piece of the pie, but somebody has to do it."

Deepika, who has shared screen space with Ranbir for films like 'Bachna Ae Haseeno,' 'Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani,' and 'Tamasha,' is the highest paid actress in Bollywood today. The actress, in fact, has been paid more than her male co-stars for her last film.

The duo started their Bollywood journey together with 'Om Shanti Om' and 'Saawariya,' respectively, that hit the screens together.
