I Satisfy My Food Cravings On The Weekend, Says Kareena

  • I Satisfy My Food Cravings On The Weekend, Says Kareena
Actors are always under constant pressure to maintain their physical appearance and keep a tab on their calorie intake. But actress Kareena Kapoor has found a cheat code to pave her way out of the strict regime - indulging on food on the weekends.

The actress, who launched Magnum, one of the world’s leading premium adult ice-cream brands, here Wednesday, said she doesn't fight her cravings and satisfies her sweet tooth on weekends.

"I have a sweet tooth. So from Monday to Friday, I stick to my diet and regime. But I tend to indulge in whatever I want to do or whatever I want to eat on Friday evening or Saturday,” said the actress as she exuded sophistication and glamour in her long shimmery gown at the launch event.

Kareena will add spunk to the Hindustan Unilever Limited’s brand as a “Pleasure Ambassador”.

Asked her favourite flavour, she was quick to plump for the classic flavour of the ice-cream which is just “perfect”.

Being associated with the brand with tagline “Enjoy the royal treatment” is not Kareena's only royal connection. She is married to actor Saif Ali Khan, who belongs to a royal family.

But the 34-year-old actress termed the royal connection as a mere “coincidence”.

“It's just a coincidence. With the tagline they want to elaborate on the feeling that seeps into you after you take first bite of Magnum ice-cream -- you get the royal feeling and royal treatment,” she said.

Kareena also admitted she feels honoured to be associated with a brand that has been a part of her life since her childhood.

“We started this association in 2014 when they offered me to be the brand ambassador and now its been a year. The journey has been great. As a kid I always used to have Magnum ice-cream whenever we went abroad for vacations. So it was quite an honour for me when they asked me to be the face of the brand after they came to India. I am happy that they have continued their association,” she said.

The ice-cream will be available in three flavours - Classic, Almond and Chocolate Truffle in Delhi starting March 1.
