"Baby doll" hitmaker Kanika Kapoor says she doesn't like abusive songs and finds them "very low".
There is a trend of double meaning songs these days. Would she like to lend her voice to such tracks?
Kanika said: "I don't like abusive songs. I find them very low... unless it's part of a script, I will not do it. I will not sing songs which have bad meaning."
The singer, who doesn't have any backup from the industry, says her journey so far has been great.
"It's been a very interesting journey and it has been a huge struggle for me. I have been singing since I was 8. I still have a long way to go," she said.
"In any business, one can only be successful when you are convincing and consistent. As a singer, I sing from my heart. For me, my business is my music and I sing for myself and I sing for my soul. That's what is connecting," said the "Chittiyaan kalaiyaan" hitmaker.
