I Create A Balance Between My Work, Family Life: Gauri Khan

IANS, 17 Oct, 2016 12:18 PM
  • I Create A Balance Between My Work, Family Life: Gauri Khan
She is a successful producer, entrepreneur, interior designer, mother and wife of Bollywood's 'Badshah' Shah Rukh Khan. Gauri Khan says despite her busy schedule she makes it a point to take out time for her family.

Gauri shared that she likes to create a balance between her work and family life.

"Although I have a busy work schedule, I make sure I spend time with my family and create a balance between my work and family life," Gauri told IANS in an email interview.

Apart from her several professional endeavours, Gauri is associated with various brands, and often lends her star power for activities like Mercedes-Benz Luxe Drive, a customer engagement programme by the luxury car maker - which takes up her time.

Gauri, who married Shah Rukh in 1991, has a son named Aryan and a daughter named Suhana. The duo also welcomed their third child AbRam, through a surrogate mother in 2013.

Gauri has made some brief appearances on the camera, but she asserts that she is "currently focusing on my future as an interior designer and not as an actor".

She might be the wife of Shah Rukh Khan, but her claim to fame is not just the title of being a wife of a superstar. Gauri has established herself as an interior designer as well as fashion designer.

Asked if she ever considers writing a book about her whole journey, she dismisses the idea.

"Nothing as such on the journey but currently I am coming up with a Coffee Table Book on designs in collaboration with renowned builders," she said.
