I Am A Huge Fan Of Katrina Kaif: Abhishek Kapoor

Darpan News Desk IANS, 27 Jan, 2016 11:21 AM
Filmmaker Abhishek Kapoor, who has directed Katrina Kaif for the first time in his film “Fitoor”, says he is a huge fan of the actress.

"I am a huge fan of Katrina as she works with so much of sincerity and gives her heart and soul to each and every character that she portrays," Abhishek told reporters in a group interview.

“Also, she tries to prove all her critics wrong thorugh her hard work. What more can she do as an actress? I am happy with Katrina's work," Abhishek said.

“Fitoor” is an adaptation of Charles Dickens classic novel "Great Expectations" and will have Katrina playing Firdaus, while Aditya Roy Kapur will portray the character of Noor.

Asked what prompted him to make this film, Abhishek said: "I have never attempted a love story. I read this book long time back and felt this is a story Indian audience would love to watch. There is old school romance, pure love and heart break in it.”

The film also stars Tabu, Aditi Rao Hydari, Lara Dutta and Rahul Bhatt.

"Fitoor" will hit the theatres on February 12.
