Here's Kareena Kapoor Khan's Reply To Mira Rajput's 'Housewife' Statement

  • Here's Kareena Kapoor Khan's Reply To Mira Rajput's 'Housewife' Statement
Few weeks back, Shahid Kapoor's wife Mira Rajput made her first public appearance alone. That was for a panel discussion where she spoke about being a housewife and about being a feminist in today's times.

Mira had claimed that she wears the label of a housewife with pride and also expressed her views on choosing her baby over work. She said that Misha is not a puppy and she wouldn't like to be away from her the whole day only to give her just two-three hours' time. This surprised many fans and some raised their eyebrows as it seemed like an indirect dig at Kareena Kapoor Khan.

Bebo who delivered Taimur in December resumed work and was back to finishing her commitments the very next month. While Bebo has set a new example post motherhood as well, this statement from Mira hurt a community of working women as well. But now, Kareena was asked about it during an interview and she had a brilliant response to it.

Here's what she said -

"What kind of a mother I am is something that will unfold with time. I will not scream from rooftops about experiencing motherhood or how much I love Taimur.

There’s always the pressure of being judged, no matter what you do. It’s about how you deal with it. Every pregnancy and every mother’s journey with her child during those nine months and afterwards is different. You can’t draw parallels.

No one out there really knows me or what I am feeling at a given time. How can anyone decide on my behalf whether I am supposed to feel depressed or if I can step out before 45 days? If I’m spoken about like that, what would it be like for other women?"
