Bollywood celebrities like Lata Mangeshkar, Amitabh Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit and Madhur Bhandarkar have wished their fans and family on the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivratri Tuesday.
 
The festival is believed to celebrate the wedding of Lord Shiva and goddess Parvati. Devotees stay awake all night, singing hymns and prayers, to seek Lord Shiva's blessings.
