Glad That Aparshakti Is In Film With Aamir: Ayushmann

Darpan News Desk IANS, 08 Apr, 2016 12:47 PM
  • Glad That Aparshakti Is In Film With Aamir: Ayushmann
Actor Ayushmann Khurrana is more than happy for his younger brother Aparshakti, who is all set to make his debut in Hindi cinema with superstar Aamir Khan starrer "Dangal".

"I am glad that he is doing a film of that stature and is working with Aamir Khan. It is really good for him," Ayushmann, whose film "Dum Laga Ke Haisha" bagged the Best Hindi Film at the 63rd National Film Awards, told IANS.

The 31-year-old actor says the Nitesh Tiwari directorial is "the right film" for his brother.

"He is also a brilliant actor, singer... We have played cricket and at the same time he was the captain of the Haryana 19 team. I think 'Dangal' is the right film (for him). He speaks fluent Haryanvi as well apart from Punjabi," he said.

"Dangal" has Aamir portraying the role of Mahavir Singh Phogat, who taught wrestling to his daughters Babita Kumari and Geeta Phogat. Geeta was India's first female wrestler to win at the 2010 Commonwealth Games, where she clinched the gold medal (55 kg) while Babita won the silver (51 kg).

Aamir plays both the younger and older characters of Phogat in the film, and he had put on weight up to 95 kg to play the older part and then also lost the weight.

"Dangal" is scheduled to release on December 23.
