  • Ghulam Ali In Lucknow For A Concert, Meets Akhilesh
After his shows in Maharashtra were cancelled following threats of disruption by the Shiv Sena, Pakistani ghazal singer Ghulam Ali arrived here on Saturday for a concert.

Soon after his arrival, he drove to the official residence of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, who walked out to greet the maestro and felicitated him.

Akhilesh Yadav told the legendary singer that art, literature and culture were a common heritage of humanity and that art and artists cannot be tagged with a region or community. Adding that no boundaries of a country can hold back artists, he said that there should be no politics on talent.
