Get Ready For Avatar 2

Darpan News Desk IANS, 10 May, 2019 11:31 PM
  • Get Ready For Avatar 2

The highest grossing movies of all time worldwide, Avatar will finally have its much-awaited sequel to release globally on December 17, 2021.

The news was confirmed by filmmaker James Cameron on his social media handle as he wrote, “Busy on set, so no time to hang around but just dropping in to share the news — Sivako! @OfficialAvatar,” along with sharing the first look of the film. Avatar is currently facing competition from Avengers: Endgame that might overtake its record in a few days. It seems Endgame needs an extra $600 million to become the all-time box-office hit.

The 2009 film Avatar hailed as an absolute epic as it spoke about how humans inhabit a place in the galaxy called Pandora to obtain a mineral, Unobtainum.

The film starred Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver among others. The movie is a favourite for its ground-breaking special effects and Cameron had held on to his idea of the movie till he got the technology needed for the film.

The sequel was supposed to come out in 2014 but got delayed to 2017. Then again, it got pushed to 2020 but now finally the date is out. Well, mark your calendars!
