  • 'Gangs of Haseepur' has something for all: Mandira Bedi
Actress and popular TV host Mandira Bedi, who is geared up to judge new comedy show "Gangs of Haseepur", says the "topical" progamme has something for everyone.

"Gangs of Haseepur", set to go on air April 26 on Zee TV, will reflect various issues affecting common lives in a comic way and Mandira will judge the show along with actress and former "Bigg Boss" contestant Tanishaa Mukerji.

"I have hosted many shows so far and now I am enjoying being the judge of this show because it is very current and topical," Mandira said here Thursday at the launch of the show.

"It not only has stand-up comedy, but a lot of other stuff and variety. There is something for everybody," she added.

The 42-year-old has earlier hosted "Champions Trophies", "ICC Cricket World Cups" and several reality shows on TV like "Indian Idol Junior".

Currently quite a few comedy shows such as "Comedy Nights With Kapil" are ruling the small screen, but Mandira feels "Gangs of Haseepur" stands apart and can't be compared to them.

"We cannot compare this show to any other comedy show on TV. This show is totally different," she said.

"It has pure stand-up comedy, varied characters are there, sketches and skits," she added.

Produced by Essel Vision Productions, "Gangs of Haseepur", will be hosted by actress Ragini Khanna and several popular stand-up comedians like Raju Srivastav, Bharti Singh, Suresh Menon and Krushna Abhishek will be seen performing on it.
