Friendship Day: TV Celebs Recall Life's 'Important' Member

IANS, 02 Aug, 2015 01:00 PM
On the occasion of Friendship Day on Sunday, TV stars like Shashank Vyas, Rashami Desai and Aishwarya Sakhuja took the opportunity to remember the "important" person of their life and a "relationship that we get to choose ourselves".

Here's what these stars have to say:

Aishwarya Sakhuja: Friendship day for me is another commercial day for these card galleries to have a booming business because in Mumbai my family apart from my in-laws are my friends for me and I really do not need to make plans to meet them. My best friend from the industry is Pooja Sharma. We have been friends from the time since we went for Miss India together and our friendship has stood the test of time.

Shashank Vyas: I have a very few close friends. They are important because they keep me grounded, they guide, they scold and praise me as well. I can't imagine my life without them.

Dalljiet Kaur: Friendship day for me is celebrating a relationship that we get to choose ourselves in this life and it's like patting your back and saying 'good job done'. I know that my friends love me unconditionally. I hope someday soon I get to become self sufficient again emotionally to give them all the happy Dalljiet they always knew.

Arjun Bijlani: Friendship is one relationship which doesn't come by birth. We choose our friends so it means a lot to me. I have a few friends who are close and I know they will stand by me always.

Anshul Pandey: The meaning of a friend means a lot to me. However, I don't really need a friendship day to meet and celebrate with my friends. Whenever I meet a dear friend, I celebrate Friendship Day.

Rashami Desai: I am nothing without my friends. I take time to consider anyone my friend. Maybe, that's why I have few friends but they are my best support system.

Mohammad Nazim: My friends care, love and support me every time and we all have known each other for a very long time, that's what makes our bond more rigid.

Rohit Bhardwaj: Life without friends is like food without salt. I can't think of life without friends. My school friends are still my close friends. They keep you grounded and you have lots of memories too with them.

Mrunal Jain: I can't live without the people who matter. It's an emotional need and I value my friends.
