Former actress Anu Agarwal has encouraged children to participate in sports for their holistic growth.

GlobalLogic on Friday hosted the GlobalLogic Foundation Sports Meet for schools and children associated with them. The occasion symbolised the company's commitment to provide the basic and remedial education to underprivileged children.

The activity was kicked off by Anu, the founder of the Anu Agarwal Foundation, along with Sumit Sood, Asia Pacific Head and Managing Director of GlobalLogic India, here.

A number of sports and recreational activities were organised through an inter school game competition such as sprint race, relay race, sack race and tug of war.

Sood said in a statement: "The aim of this sports meet is to motivate the kids, impact lives, improve education, bring in sportsman spirit and ultimately create employability for over 1100 plus children in schools."

Anu was the guest of honour and even conducted a yoga session.

"I have done a successful research on the positive impact of fun yoga with underprivileged kids and I am glad to share this with the children here today."
