Film Industry Gives More Importance To Looks, Says Prachi Desai

Darpan News Desk IANS, 08 Aug, 2016 02:33 PM
Actress Prachi Desai, who is gearing up for her upcoming film "Rock On!! 2", says the Hindi film industry focuses more on looks than anything else.

"I think there are a lot of brilliant actors who probably don't get the same kind of positioning or they don't get their due because of certain reasons... I think looks is something that this industry gives a lot more importance to," Prachi told IANS.

The 27-year-old actress was last seen on screen in "Azhar", which is making its TV premiere on Sony Max on August 14. In the film, she was seen sharing screen space with her "Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai" co-star Emraan Hashmi and Nargis Fakhri.

Prachi says people don't give much importance to talent.

"I think more than talent what people get aroused by (is looks). I think that's what the industry cares about," she added.
