Aamir Khan celebrated his 53rd birthday on Wednesday, and wishes poured in on social media, from his fans and colleagues alike. To mark this special day, the Dangal star also made a debut on social networking app Instagram and already has over 341k followers.

 

One of the stars to wish Aamir was none other than his Dangal co-star Fatima Sana Shaikh. Fatima, who will be seen with Aamir in Thugs of Hindostan took to Instagram to post a series of photos from shooting of both the films and wrote, “Happy walla birthday tauji.”

Interestingly, Fatima also posted a really old picture (taken two decades ago in March 1997) of Aamir and her brother Shaanib. "Look what I found! Such an old picture of my brother Shaanib and AK! Happy birthday. #FanPicture," she captioned the post.

 
 
 
 

Aamir was shooting for Thugs of Hindostan in Jodhpur but took a day off to celebrate his birthday in Mumbai with wife Kiran Rao. He also cut his birthday cake in front of the media at his Mumbai residence.

 

Before leaving for Mumbai, Aamir also did a live video to thank his fans for the birthday wishes.
