Farhan Akhtar Considers Himself 'Mad Elephant'

Darpan News Desk IANS, 19 Nov, 2015 12:35 PM
  • Farhan Akhtar Considers Himself 'Mad Elephant'
Actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar says he is a "mad elephant" when it comes to the chess piece.

"I'd probably just see myself as the mad elephant because that kind of focus to do something good is very important," said Farhan at the trailer launch of his action- thriller "Wazir".

The focus that he is referring to is the linear movement of the elephant in the game of chess.

Elaborating on the focus or straight movement of the elephant, he explains: "What is asked of you most importantly is your time, honesty and sincerity.

"That's all we can offer as actors to a director and a producer and to be straight up with them and be honest... to give it our best shot and to lose ourselves in it. And be so focused that nothing else really matters at that point."

Farhan will portray the role of an ATS officer in the film, which also stars Amitabh Bachchan.

Neil Nitin Mukesh, who plays Wazir in the film, looks menacing. Neil said: "My title role of Wazir (minister) is the best character. I personally consider myself as an actor who is easily mouldable."

"I don't kill my talent in the process of trying very hard to sell something else but my talent. That's what I'm trying to do and I'm glad that I have the character of Wazir who can slither anywhere," he added.

"Wazir" will hit the screens on January 8, 2016.
