Fardeen Khan Responds To Bodyshamers, Says He's Not Offended

  • Fardeen Khan Responds To Bodyshamers, Says He's Not Offended
Actor Fardeen Khan, who was recently trolled by many on social media platforms for his weight gain, has lashed back at the bodyshamers by saying that he is not ashamed, offended and depressed over it.

The actor also stressed that he is living the happiest chapter of his life.

Fardeen took to Facebook on Thursday night and posted a letter sharing that bodyshamers are nothing more than "just bunch of cowards".

"Not ashamed, neither shamed. Not offended. Not depressed. Not blind either. Am I happy? Emphatically! In fact, living the happiest chapter of thus far with LBS to show for it," Fardeen wrote on the post.

"Happy to have been the weekend's entertainment for all you trollers," he added.

The "No Entry" star further wrote: "If trolling is what makes you feel better about yourself, you have to seriously think about future prospects."

Fardeen finds the "worldwide behavioural pattern on the internet disturbing" even though he believes in free speech and opinions.

"Being a realist, I will caution that all we can hope to achieve by speaking out... Is that the next time a person trolls purely for their own amusement, he or she pauses to consider their moral and ethical code," he added.

The 42-year-old also asked if people would still feel empowered to troll if the anonymity offered by social media platforms on the internet did not exist?

"I have no doubt that 99 percent would not the guts to... It proves that they are nothing more than a bunch of cowards. I hope they think about that the next time," he added.

Fardeen, who has a daughter with wife Natasha, has also thanked all his fans and well-wishers for their sensitivity, kindness and love expressed through posts.

I have never worked with big stars. My stories have a raw and witty appeal to it, which the so-called stars don't like. When I did 'Rangeela' (in 1995), at that time Aamir (Khan) was not a big star.
