Dubbed version of superhit film 'Pathaan' headed for Russia, CIS markets

Mumbai, June 9 (IANS) Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan's blockbuster film 'Pathaan' has got the widest release for an Indian film in dubbed version across Russia and Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) including Belarus, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan and many others.
The film, which also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, will also be released in Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Armenia, Georgia, Moldova and Kyrgyzstan. The dubbed version will release on July 13 in this region across 3000 plus screens.
Directed by Siddharth Anand, 'Pathaan' has collected over Rs 1,050 crore gross at the global box office since its release.
'Pathaan' is part of Aditya Chopra's fabled YRF's Spy Universe that also includes blockbusters like 'Ek Tha Tiger', 'Tiger Zinda Hai' and 'War.
'Citadel' tells the story of the eponymous independent global spy agency which gets destroyed by operatives of Manticore as the former was tasked to uphold the safety and security of all people. Manticore is a powerful syndicate manipulating the world from the shadows.
The rapper spoke about this romantic song which he said has all the potential to be a 'chartbuster'. It features Yo Yo Honey Singh, Hommie Dilliwala, Livia Dumont, and Aparna Nayr, produced by Gaurav Grover, co-produced by Udit Vats, directed by Mihir Gulati.
'Pathaan' has now recorded $45.94 million in the overseas territories alone, while net collection in India stands at Rs 516.92 crore (Hindi - Rs 498.95 crore, Dubbed - Rs 17.97 crore)! The total worldwide gross is an incredible Rs 1000 crore (India gross - Rs 623 crore, overseas - Rs377 crore).
